About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and received a Masters of Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2000. I have been in the mental health field for over 15 years. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked with Hospice, disadvantage youth, survivors of Hurricane Katrina, and did counseling for Restore Ministries - a non-profit agency.

My services

I provide counseling services in Clarksville, TN in a warm and relaxed setting. I work with both couples and individuals who are dealing with a variety of issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, grief, addiction (including the family problems that surround addiction), career issues, infidelity, and premarital preparation.

My Approach

My approach is compassionate and nonjudgmental, and I provide support, resources, and feedback for the healing process. I also use a collaborative style of treatment that includes experiential therapies, EMDR, strength-based approaches, solution-focused approaches, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment-focused therapy when appropriate. I view each client as a unique person and seek to develop the best therapeutic approach to meet their needs. I'm passionate about helping individuals identify healthy coping skills in order to deal with the everyday life issues or past difficulties that impact their lives today.

In addition to my private practice, I also facilitate workshops at the renowned Onsite Facility located right outside of Nashville. Onsite is known worldwide as a leader in the therapeutic healing process.

Clients often describe me as “authentic, comforting, and highly competent.” I have a passion for my work, and that translates into a fulfilling experience for each of my clients. I look forward to the opportunity to experience the same with you. I believe we all have an important story to tell, and I would love to join you on your journey for a healthier and peaceful life! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment.
